I am kinda new to this and thought I would ask some of you experts before jumping in.

I have a Pioneer 720 64 inch HDTV and using a HDcable box. The cable box locks all non HDTV broadcasts to 4.3 ratio when using componet cables . If I use s-video the quality is greatly diminished however I can strech the regular 4.3 broadcasts to full screen .

I like to watch sports and stuff with full screen but would like better picture quality. More HDTV channels in my area are a long way off according to cable co. So I am looking for away to get a better image quality out of the analog signal.

I would like keep video 1 to componet in for HDTV and put a QuadScan Elite HD line scaller/doubler between the cableboxe's S-Video out and either S-video or componet in on video 2.

My questions are would really I get a better image on video 2 and would I still beable to make 4.3 streach to 16.9?

If so would running my DVD they same way enhance its image?

Or would I be wasting my time and money?

Thanks for your imput
