ISCAN Film or Video

399 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  3lions
I have heard that one of the reasons I might be seeing a slow down of motion when the source material is PAL maybe because the Ultra is switching between film and video mode. Can anyone point me in the right direction for an explanation of the different processing in these modes?

Also is it possible to tell what mode the Ultra is in at anyone time so I can verify if the problem is toggling between the two?

Thanks

Unless the iScan has a LED showing what it is that's being shown, you can't tell if that's the problem or not.

Regarding the explanation, I would suggest googling it or doing a search here. You can also catch the Secrets to home theater hifi - the article about deinterlacing there is pure gold.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where can I find the "Secrets to home theater?"
