iScan HD+ & Sync issue-help!

511 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  oferlaor
I have a iScan HD+ connected to a Benq 7200 projector via YPBR. Any time I change an input, I get the Searching for Signal from the Benq and I have to go to Sync on the iScan and then toggle between Tri abd Bi to get the image back up. What am I missing here?

It is annoying to have to do this for every input!

BUMP...Anyone?

As an add-on, I also noticed that I have the issue when I go to my Tivo menu and then back to live video.

Hmmm...Is everyone on holiday???
Have you tried leaving the sync on 'Bi'? While 'Tri' sync is the default for 720p out, there are some displays which prefer 'Bi' sync.

I have left it on Bi with the same results. If it is left on Bi, I have to go to the selection after Tri and then back to either Tri or Bi.

It doesn't matter if I am swapping between comp 1 & 2 or comp and s-video/video, I get the same results.

The BenQ can also do RGB, which if I setup the HD+ for RGB, the color white is grey and some other colors just aren't good as in orange looks like brown.

Any ideas??

try something else.

Try taking out the Y cable while you have a good image and then plugging this back in.

This will simulate a no signal for a brief time. If plugging it back in is working, then at least you know your display is not at fault.

BTW, is it possible you're seeing a side effect of a multi output display profile setting?

You can verify this is not the case by making sure you don't have the output display profile in "Auto" mode. Another option is to save your display profile manually to each of the 4 user display profiles.
