I have read a little in this forum about ISF calibration, but don't really understand it. I am having problems, which should I do?

I have a DST-3000 and Toshiba TN50X81 (4:3). I am having the following problems:

1) Bowing on the right side, only in 1080i mode. Letterbox bars as well as the STB menus and guides bow.

2) Definite purple cast, especially noticeable on facials. Again, only in 1080i mode. I need to have my tint at +20 just to make it somewhat tolerable.

I have ruled out the STB as the cause, because Toshiba replaced it and the problems are still there. Do I need an ISF or regular service to fix the above?

The geometry sounds like a service issue. Obviously without seeing it I can not know how much off perfection it is. I could correct most geometry problems, but why pay a calibrator if you may be able to have it covered under warranty?

Gray scale is a different story and not a warranty item. I or any qualified ISF calibrator (with the right test equipment) can get the purple out.
