But thought I would make it a new thread cause I am still searching for answers. I noticed while playing 2k7 images would look jagged or wavy. I haven't tried any other games except the demos. BR movies are awsome.


I am running monoprice HDMI cable to a full 1080p monitor. I sit 6-10ft away from a 40".

Usually motion/movents will show these artifacts: jagged/wavy.


Here's an example: When it shows the score the lines outlining the numbers appear jagged. Another is when I am shooting free throws the back board appears wavy kinda like a mirage when you look at the road in the hot sun.


I'll try take a picture but I am afraid it won't justify whats really happening.

I found this on this site and I circled the area in red thats jagged. This is what I am experiencing with NBA 2k7. Again its full 1080p LCD via HDMI. I wonder if this has to do with the interlacing. But ?? the game is full 1080p..??

Looks like there is poorly done/no FSAA. Just jaggies, they are all over that screen on diagonal lines.

That's just aliasing. Very normal in games. Some games have anti-aliasing, some don't - generally the more AA a game has, the lower the framerate, which is why some games don't have them.
