I have a couple JBL Control 25s I was going to hook up to my Onkyo receiver on Zone 2, but I know nothing of commercial speakers. They have the selectable watt taps. Can I hook these up to my Onkyo? Should I use the "Thru" tap?

Sounds like they are 70 volt speakers. Are they the Control 25AV models?


If so , then the thru should be 8 ohms, but this is easy to check with a multi-meter.

I believe they are, yes. So just check for a resistance of 8ohm with a multimeter?
