1.) Chances are if you are satisfied with a Bose sat/sub system in your main room, you'll be happy with the JBL kit.

2.) But, the JBL kit is not a very good kit. Full range sats (no tweeter) and a limited sub. But >200 is not a big budget to work with.

For a bedroom and >200... go to Amazon and search MCS100. Going to be tough to beat that for ~$200.

SQ will be much better, though the sub is still limited it should be fine for a bedroom/small room.

Just my opinion, but I would ditch the Dell speakers and just run 5.1 in your main room. Better to two proper rears in a 5.1 than compromised sides (which are important) in a 7.1. As they say though, it's up to your ears.

Any my recommendation of the MCS100's for a two bills budget stands. I honestly think you'll find that they will hold up quite well against your main system (if not prefer them).

I think you will be mighty disappointed with that.

My recommendation is to save some money and then invest in a quality 2.0/3.0/2.1,etc. setup and expand as funding allows.

You seem a little defensive about your bose system, though...
