Hey guys,

Recently, I got into HT and within my budget, I bought:

Toshiba 65H93 65" widescreen(Projection TV)

Pioneer VSX-54TX (Receiver)

Pioneer DV-45A (DVD Player)

JBL ND310 Northridge x 2 (Mains)

JBL EC35 Northridge x 1 (Center)

JBL E50 Northridge x 4 (R/L surrounds & Back surrounds)

JBL E250P (12" Subwoofer)

JBL P10 (10" Subwoofer)

What do you guys think about this setup? Is the JBL northridege speakers any good? I didn't know this site till after I made my purchase... Anyway, any suggestion will be appricated. Thank you!

Welcome, and congrats on your first post. :)

Now it pains me to point out that your first post is probably in the wrong forum, but I'm sure you'll get a lot more feedback if you post this question in the speakers forum. I say "probably" because you did ask about your whole set up, too. It'll take a while to get used to what should be posted where, and, frankly, some members never figure it out, but if you want to get feedback on speaker choices, then the speakers forum is the place.

The Northrdige Series is a well-respected line, especially the newer E Series stuff. IMO it leads its market segment in overall bang for the buck, though you'll find an individual speaker here and there than might best a comparable JBL model. If you like the way they sound (and I sure do), then you've made an excellent choice and should be happy for some time.

When you get the inevitable urge to upgrade, there are some more JBL speakers to choose from as you climb the HT stairway to bankruptcy. Again, welcome!

That's a nice system to start off with. There's always better and more expensive out there. What really matters is if you like the way it sounds, and if you're happy with the theater in general.

I have a complete JBL system using the Studio series speakers and I like them alot, would I like to upgrade? Hell yes, but I'm happy with my setup overall.
