specs, price?
It’s a little thin on available specs, here is all the official site has for now:specs, price?
It’s definitely very interesting and ticks most of my wants too. They’re supposed to have an un-boxing on the Facebook group soon; we’ll see as more gets announced and the launch gets closer..Looks interesting, especially w/3D support and tri-color laser--will keep an eye on this.
$4K on Abibaba. Levitating speakers... cool gimmick.
Bummer! I read that it has a fixed focus for a 100” screen. Deal breaker for me I’m used to a 120” screen and can’t really imagine downgrading in size.
deleteYeah, fixed focus for x size is definitely a Hisense thing, whose tech I’m pretty sure the JMGO U2 projector is based on. I believe the Bomaker Polaris 4K, also quite similar to the U2, is Hisense tech too.
I am confused. The JMGO site states 3600 ANSI LUMENS not 2400. Please clarify. Thx!This is a very interesting one from JMGO that will be early bird launching in July on Kickstarter.
The specs that really stand out to me:
- Tri-Color laser
36002400 native ANSI lumens- .47 4K DLP chip
- 3D capable
- 28dB at 1m
- .025 throw ratio
- 100” fixed focus
- 1 Year Warranty
- Menu languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified

That 3600 is a marketing puffery number, it’s if you projected on a 1.5 gain screen. Native brightness is 2400.I am confused. The JMGO site states 3600 ANSI LUMENS not 2400. Please clarify. Thx!
I did see a tare down of the Hisense L5 100/120. They’re the exact same projector. There was a small screw hidden inside the housing that they use to adjust the zoom. Hisense even went as far as covering the screw with a warning label that stated “removal voids warranty”. This three laser model may be different though idk.Yeah, fixed focus for x size is definitely a Hisense thing, whose tech I’m pretty sure the JMGO U2 projector is based on. I’ve seen that as well. I don’t think anybody has torn down the Bomaker to see what the focus situation is in there, since I’m pretty sure that it’s basically the same insides as the U2..I did see a tare down of the Hisense L5 100/120. There isn’t one, we were talking about the Hisense UST.Where did you see a teardown of the u2/u2 pro??
I'm aware of the teardown the German bloggers did. The context made it sound as if there was one done (likely CN source at this stage) and as such, I was curious as I'm interested as well. Especially since the JMGO claims place this exceeding HISENSE claims about 100l9 Pro capabilities at 107% coverage of BT.2020 vs JMGO claims at 114% coverage of the same color space. There isn’t one, we were talking about the Hisense UST.
