I just picked up a set of JMLab Chorus 707's and almost feel I made a mistake. I picked them up for $560 and from what I know thats a good deal. However, I had some esone "polk and jbl joint venture" speakers that I liked but wanted to start upgrading. The esones produce bass very well from the fronts and surrounded the room with bass as I have a cheap sony sub in the back of the room. Now the 707's produce mids and highs WONDERFULLY much better then the esones but produce hardly no bass. Is there a problem with my speaker or did it just show a vital flaw in my sub and system? Is there anything I can do to cover up the lack of bass from the fronts to surround the room in bass again or am I stuck with the choice of bass or little bass and better mids and highs?

Any help is much appreciated for a struggling home theater guy looking for help :p

Get a better sub.

I have a set of Chorus (fronts and center LCR700, surrounds SR700). Bass was indeed lacking, so I bought a Rocket UFW10 and the improvement with music and movies has been huge.
