Hey, everybody!

Last night's (10/21/2004) episode of Joey broadcast the closing credits in HD. The video remained full screen instead of being squished to the side of the screen, and the credits ran at the bottom of the screen. This is the first time this season, with all the other episodes reverting to SD for the closing credits. Has any other major network done this before? All the other HD shows I watch on the networks have SD closing credits. Last night's episode of Joey was the first time I've ever seen otherwise.

Cheers,

He's talking about how NBC and others sometimes revert to SD and use the right side of the screen to show the credits. NBC does this for most of their shows.

CBS doesn't do this...

In my experience, at the end of CSI: the credits and previews for the next episode always revert to 4:3 SD, with the screen going back to 16:9 with the start of Cold Case.

What I've seen new is that WB always used to do the "Previously on Gilmore Girls" in 4:3 SD, with the program starting in 16:9 HD; now the previous clips are in HD as well...

It has never been that way here in Atlanta. I only get Fox, NBC, and WB in HD...but they all do that...
