This title always cracks me up. "John Carpenter's Christine" is from a novel written by Stephen King. How many movies have we seen that were titled "Stephen King's........" Most of those, if not all, were disastrous. I like the car though...
Although a tad bit dated, this film works very well. I was a teen and Carpenter fan when this hit theaters and it's not my fave JC film by any means....but it's still worthy of occasional viddies. Right "up my alley".
PQ tonight was awesome with my settings and have not seen it looking any better than this.
Now...I'd KILL for Escape From New York in HD. HD-Lite.....anything close to really good.
I believe that I requested this one awhile back. The print used on the 2-disc Special Edition DVD came from a HD transfer, so I guess it's only a matter of time.
Christine is still a good film to watch from time to time, but not one of my favorite Carpenter films.
The Thing on HDNet Movies would be icing on the cake.
I dvr'd it but haven't watched it yet, but John Carpenter is my fav director so if a work of his is on I'll watch. Christine may not be a "Halloween" but it's a entertaining film.
