Hi all,
Going to start working on my home theater this weekend. I have the following:
CL2 rated HDMI cables
CL2 rated component video cables
in wall speaker wiring (preconstruction)
Monoprice recessed "in-wall" power. With romex cable
HDMI wall plates
Component video wall plates
My question is do I need a junction box for each wall plate? Is it against code to just install the wallplate into drywall with a caddy fastener? The things I plan to run in-wall are the HDMI and component. I'm assuming I will definitely need a blue junction box for the power extension?
Thanks
