Alright, I know this has been heavily debated and I have read through most posts about the center channel and placement above or below. Most of experts in here speak of the speaker being above, but by a max of 2ft. I wanted to see if you guys would help me with my design. I am in somewhat of a pickle with the mounting of a center channel as it looks like I am going to have problems getting it above. It is best illustrated through pictures. As you can see below, with a 110" diag screen, the center will be right about where the ceiling starts its angle. I thought about just getting an angle bracket and going off of that angled ceiling, but that puts my speaker about 4-5ft above the tweeter in my L/R. The only other option is moving the screen down about 2ft and then mounting it right above the screen. This would work for keeping the speakers within 2ft of each other, but the bottom of the screen will be severely blocked by the front row. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

Put the screen where the viewing angle is best. Put the center above or below it based on that judgement. When watching your visual cues will over-ride your audio cues and your brain will make the sound seem to be coming from the center of the screen, because that's what it's programmed to do. If you do put the center below lift the L/R higher, tilting them down towards the LP. That will make the sound stage seem larger and more realistic.

So, now that I know I am going above. What would you guys recommend as a good angle bracket that will hold a 16lb center speaker?

Here's a mount that will hold up to a 33 lb speaker:

If you reconsider mounting above, there are several center channel speaker stands. You might want to look for something that is 22 inches or higher..

A 24 inch tall unit:

myoda, thanks for the suggestions. I had already purchased one like the first one you mentioned. The problem is, there is no angle to that one. I need one that is able to be angled for the place i have to mount it. I can't go below the screen as my first row will block it. I found something like:

But this one sticks out 9" and that seems awfully far. I just need something that is solid and won't stick out very far, but will give me the ability to go with a very versatile angle.
