Hello,

I just purchased a NEC PG9+ yesterday evening and I am pretty excited.

Coming from an ECP3100, that should hopefully make a good difference.

Now, if anybody could point me where to get the manuals and all, that would be great.

I have a hard time finding them on the net.

If my only option is to pay for them, I guess that I will do that.

Also, I have the software that pilots it from a PC but not the cable...

Is that a standard serial cable?

One thing as well, it did not come with a master remote and I was hoping that someone in here would have one that I can borrow for a couple of days to get the codes.

Anybody in the Austin TX area that have the same PJ?

I am happy! :D

Hello,

If the PJ is in good shape and have internal settings set correctly, this should be a very nice projector. I have had one myself, and loved it. It is better projector out there, but not by much.

I found manuals at this address: www.nectech.com - the manuals for the Xtra isn't that different. I don't know if they are there still, because it is some time since I got them from there.

It looks like it's going to be a bit harder to find info on the NEC that on the ECP...

I am sure that I will find what I need here :)

MadClammer,

I don't know for sure about the hours, around 5000 hours I think.

As for the price, if I told you, I would have to kill you... :D

I will receive it next week if my freight company gives me a decent deal...

Anybody knows of a good domestic freight company?

Thanks,

Gn2,

I owe you quite a few beers!

The best price I had was $195.

I just contacted ForwardAir and they quoted me $89!!!

I am a happy man now!

Thanks for the tip.

Next time you are around Austin, give me a call.

Vcr,

:D

Roy,

Thanks for the link, I will download all I can from there. :)

I know that the setup is going to be an experience...

I manage my ECP setup pretty good now, but I understand that the NEC will be an entire different beast!

I will probably call one of the pros in Austin and ask them to come setup the NEC for me, and I will learn. In other words, money well spent...

Anybody in Austin with a NEC?

Come on guys, don't be shy!

:)
