Just found a display model PDP-6020FD for $3339 and I would have to drive 180 round tip miles for it. Been on display for 6 months. Very tempting.....What should I do

just fyi, my local bb magnolia (castleton [indianapolis], indiana) has a 6020 display model for $2999...i do not know the hours on it...you might see if the store you're dealing with will come down a little...

I think I would keep looking. Too much time on it for that price.

I assume you have to pay tax on it to boot? Not worth it, IMO. Under 3k perhaps.

Many BB's are trying to unload these. I'd just try bargaining on a new one before settling for an open box.

The BB Magnolia location in Lewisville, TX has the 6020 and the PRO-101FD. Both new in the box. This location has at least 2-3 different Pioneer PDPs new in the box. I forget what the prices are but I would assume that they should be the same price at every magnolia location. The 6020 and 101FD boxes both said they were manufactured in January 2009.

I got a 5020 at BB for $1,250, they had a $1,499 sticker on it. So you can probably talk them down some.

I'll pass. 6 months on display, just can't see that same display sitting in my living room. New or nothing for me

you should def get them to come down, a few weeks ago I scored a 6020 NIB for just under 3k from Best Buy. They should negotiate with you easily, just walk in and tell them what you want to pay for it, you'll be surprised how easy it usually is.
