Just got an LCD TV - Confused about calibration (CalMAN, HCFR)

548 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  ConnecTEDDD
I tried using HCFR to calibrate my new TV, but the problem crashes every time I use anything other than continuous measure.

When I try to change the color patch for continuous measure, it changes itself back to 72-72-72.

I also don't see any way to set a target color temp.

So, I looked into CalMAN. But, every video I've found only explains how to use this software if my TV supports automated calibration. Mine does not; I can only do manual adjustments. I get to change the RGB values at 5%, 10%, and every 10% after that.

Can I use CalMAN? How?

Note: I do have a colori and a spectro.

Not sure about the other software, but you may want to look at the free LightSpace ZRO?

There is a user guide here: https://www.lightillusion.com/manual_calibration_idiots_guide.html

Hi, if you will use the LightSpace ZRO (free), you can see how you can create/enable the meter correction table here: https://www.avsforum.com/forum/139-...-profiled-spectrophotometer.html#post54658670
After reading a review, I realized that even after calibration, my TV will have crappy color reproduction. Darn.

I might check out ZRO if I get a different TV.

What TV model you have?
