Just got Comcast HDTV, need component switching, is my receiver good enough for this?

Hi, I just had Comcast HDTV installed the other day, my DVD player has been sent in for repairs so I have had it hooked directly to my projector.

I just love it so far!

Anways I am going to need a component video switcher , my Pioneer Elite has an onboard switcher and I am using it now to test but I think I am seeing a slight degradation in quality but it could be my imagination.

Is it my imagination or do I need to get a better quality switcher?

Though these are meaningless to me since I dont know what they mean, here are the specs on the component video section of my receiver.

65db s/n ratio

Frequency response 5-100mhz +/- 3db

Input& Output sensitivity/Impedence 1Vp-p/75ohms
