Just Got Panny Ax200- Best way to cable

782 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  cutterhut
Pardon me if this should go in another location, but I just bought a AX200 to use between business and at home. I am going to move my 40" sony xbr lcd to another room, but I am not sure how to tune cable. I mainly watch movies and play xbox, but not having TV might be an issue for my SigOther. I don't have a cable box as we just have basic cable and the Sony picked up the local HD channels as well as somehow being able to tune in on other people's on demand (don't ask me?!).

What's the best way for me to be able to view tv- at some point I'll upgrade to a better cable service and have a cable box with hdmi output (please fios come to me), but for now is there a budget tuner or hardware that other projector users can recommend? I've seen DVD recorders that have full tuners, but are there other options? Thanks!

Well you answered one of your own cabling questions. i.e HDMI Now to the tuner question... If don't have a cable box buy a tuner or a dvd/vcr combo then run component video to the projector.

Thanks- Ok, well I'm running a component cable and vga for now, but I suppose my question was more centered on the dvd/vcr or dvdr with tuner as an option, so I'll start researching those now.
