Just got a pair of used B&W DM602 Series 2 front speakers from a dealer.

There is a gold plate just underneath the wire screws. When I twist

the screws to insert the speaker wire the gold plate that the screws

rested against comes loose. I had to hold this plate against the pole

while I inserted the wire and while tightening the screws.

Is this normal for these speakers?

yes it is normal it is a jumper so you don't have to bi-wire the speakers if you are planning on bi-wiring them you have to remove the jumpers

Thanks for the reassurance guys. This forum is great!

I was looking at some new 300 series and asked the dealer if he had a higher series used on-sale. I got a pair of used 600's for the same price as new 300's. Seems like it was a good deal so here they are and they do sound good.
