I don't have documentation for my JVC 30000U DVHS player and I was curious to know more about the channel settings. I know channel I-# is for archiving, but I want to know about the F-# and the L-# channels... What are they for?

I would really like to record some DVHS onto my hdd and want to know what channel to set it too. I am using DVHSTool to capture.

Thanks for your help.

In the back, there are 2 inputs, L-1 & L-2, the F is for the front input. Go into the Menu and select what input they use: S-video or composite.

I is for firewire/IEEE1394, the digital input/output. The L1 and L2 are analog inputs on the back. The F1 is analog input on the front.
