Hi,

I'm using the component input for DVD and the RGBHV input for satellite (DirecTV - HDNET) and I have a question for G150 owners.

Using the component input I can adjust Sharpness (-5 to +5) and the image reflects the changes (both Interlaced and Progressive separately - AVIA likes -4). Now if I adjust Sharpness while using the RGBHV input the image never appears to change. The other settings such as Brightness, Contrast, etc. all work fine with the RGBHV input.

Anyone else seeing this on their G150?

Thanks.

Not sure about the 150 but on other G series DILA's the sharpness is grayed out and non functional on the RGB input. Sharpness is a misnomer and is actually a form of edge distortion and should never be used. This is why AVIA likes the lowest setting.

It's been awhile since I played with it, but my recollection is that the sharpness control has no effect on the PC (RGB) inputs.
