Frustrating...

I have a JVC DR-MV1s (yes, the one that had the loading bug issues...)

It's a piece of [email protected]

Anyway, I am having trouble getting the unit to recognize a camcorder signal (composite) through the F-1 (front) inputs for recording. Playing through F-1 to my TV is no problem whatsoever, but when I follow the instructions to record to DVD, it suddenly gives me a "No Signal" message on the screen. I also have TIVO running through my L-1 input (the rear inputs), and it also fails to recognize that for recording.

I have just about had it with this machine. I may just go out and buy a quality one. I will not send this back to JVC again to get it fixed. I am hoping I am just overlooking something basic. But I don't think so. Although I have had this machine for a few months, I have never tried to record...

Any ideas?

I take it that the lack of responses means something.

I got fed up, and just went out and bought a Samsung. It's just not worth it to keep trying to get this pile of junk to work...

My wife is relieved, the era of the JVC DVD recorder is over...
