I'm not certain about that model being 1920x1080 but you might consider the JVC GZ-HM200 which is full HD, 20x optical zoom and has dual SD slots (which is nice) but be sure to pick up an SD card at least as fast as a Class 6. Oh and despite the price on the website the JVC GZ-HM200 was $399.99 but you'll need to add the cost of an SD card or two into that. We bought two 16gb class 6 SD cards from Newegg for $70 shipped but you can get an 1 hr and 20 minutes out of just one of those at the highest setting of 1920x1080 pixels, average of 24Mbps .

I believe for the $399 price tag you can't go wrong with that camcorder. My best suggestion is to go to HHGregg and look at their HD camcorders. Whe we went there they had three HD camcorders for $399...The one you mentioned, the JVC GZ-HM200, and the Samsung HMX-100
