I have been following this topic in a variety of threads on the JVC HD-ILA sets, even a thread that I started. I thought this topic important enough to start its own thread. I would like everyone to share their experiences with this problem and any resolutions.


I have the 61†version. So far this TV meets all my expectations. However mine is one of the TVs that exhibit a green tint in a portion of the display when showing black images. In the upper left corner and in a small portion of the lower left, black scenes have a green tint. This is only noticeable in a fairly dark room. Some people have posted pictures demonstrating this problem. I don’t believe my set is as bad as some of those pictures I have seen.


What has JVC done with other TVs to correct this problem?


Will this problem get worse over time?


I am still within the return period for my TV. Given this is the only problem I have, should I get a return this TV for another, possibly risking another problem; or should I resolve this through JVC?

I would not accept a new TV with a color uniformity problem, but if you find it acceptable as you say then you may want to keep it

If you want to keep that particular set, contact JVC. Maybe they can fix it.

I had about an 85% improvement in my green tint problem after JVC replaced my chassis. I still have some lower intensity green tint on about 20-25% of the right hands side of the screen. I have a full report with about how the repair went with before and after screenshots at this thread:

I sent a detailed report back to the guy who helped me at JVC originally. Waiting to hear back from him.
