Anyone seen this yet? The HM-DH30000U's D-VHS HS (High Speed) mode operates on a 28.2 Mbps data transfer rate, which exceeds the 19.3 Mbps ATSC standard for HDTV broadcasts. The HM-DH30000U can record 1080i, 720P, 480P and 480i ATSC formats when connected to a digital set-top box via IEEE 1394 ( i.Link/FireWire ).

Each D-VHS cassette has a capacity of 50GB, which provides four hours of HD-quality recording; recordings can also be made in STD mode at 14.1 Mbps and the LS3 mode at 4.7 Mbps -- the latter mode is capable of squeezing 24 hours of video onto one cassette.
