I have a JVC JL-A40 record player and I was wondering if I can buy new stylus cartridges for it, and improve the sound a little bit... It sounds ok as it is right now, but wondering if I can improve it with a newer cartridge. It currently has an Ortofon VMS 20 E MKII on it right now.
Also, as far as the anti-skate settings, should I follow what the specs for the stylus says or should I follow the directions that the JVC manual states, which seemed kind of confusing... I'm new to this stuff and got the record player from my parents.
