Just got off the phone with JVC regarding the firmware upgrade. I asked if they can send an UPS call tag for the unit to be sent to the Cypress repair center. The answer was NO. But if I can fax a copy of the shipping bill to 793-317-5000, JVC will reimburse you!


But the real question is.. is the firmware upgrade worth the hassle? Didn't most people NOT seeing any improvement at all?

I know I have read this somewhere on this forum, but how do I know if I have the update? I recently purchased the unit from onecall, is there anyway to tell?

You can go to the JVC web site and search around. THey have a program you put your serial number in and will tell you whether you need a f/w upgrade or not.

Thanks for providing the JVC fax number. However, I cannot get any answer at the number you gave, ie, (793) 317-5000. Did you get them to answer?

I haven't tried it myself. You may want to call the Voice #800 first to reconfirm their policy and the correct fax #.
