While watching Star Wars on my JVC Progressive Player, it does not produce subtitles for the alien languages used in the film. Subtitles will work for English-1, but then you have subtitles for all dialogue. I belive that the English-2 subtitles are used by default for only the alien subtitles.


I have noticed in some threads on DVDtalk.com that people with JVC players are experiencing this problem. Can anyone offer any additional insight?

Same problem on my XV-SA70. If you put in Disc 2's deleted scenes, the subtitles actually work the way they should.

It is really annoying that in this DVD to end all DVD's that took 4 million dollars to produce and took 2 years, that they can't even get the simple things right.
