I've been looking at the KEF KHT2005.2 setup because I can get it for $500 (in Canada) but I'm wondering if I could put together another 5.1 setup for around $500 that would be better?

I'm going to be using these in a small condo so I don't need a lot of power and I wouldn't even be able to take advantage of more expensive setups at high volumes.

I would be using the Kef setup with my new Pioneer VSX-1018. Would Polk, Energy, or Klipsch be any better around that price range?

thats a good combo, the 2005.2 is quite sufficient for a condo, and is excellent at that price. Will look and work great with the pio 1018.

go for it, you wont be disappointed
