I looked at these a while back. Best I could tell the 41 is exactly the same as the 912 except for case/remote/etc.
The 7080 and 7070 are the same except for remote.
I listened a bit ot the 912 and 7070 under poor conditions (big box, crappy speakers) and looked them over. The Kenwood had better build quality. Also, the last reviews I found gave the old VR6070 great amp specs for this price range (the 6070 insides are identical to the 7070/7080).
I bought the 7070 and have been happy with it.
1) poor component switching bandwidth. Probably OK for DVD, not for HDTV. I just switch what I want at the wall for a direct connect to my projector.
2) Fixed sub X-over at 80 Hz per THX. This is fine with me as I have large bookshelves for mains, but with really small monitors that wont go below 120 or 100 Hz, this wouldn't be great.
