I have an old Kenwood tuner (kt-591) that I bought back in the early 90's. It was a part of a whole system package that uses the Kenwood XS system control cables all daisy chained back to the preamp that has an IR receiver in it.
I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with the XS protocol?
I want to control the tuner through a Nuvo Essentia, I tried connecing the IR out of the Nuvo to the XS of the tuner but no good. I then tried to learn the signals with a GC-IRL but it wouldnt pick up anything either.
Anyone know what this is using?
