Asterix or not, That language does not belong here.
that's the name of the show.Asterix or not, That language does not belong here.
I don't disagree with you on that! How low we have sunk
He did, he started the thread and gave a decent summary. That was followed by off topic nonsense about the name. I think it's fair to get back on topic.do you?
I've seen the first two episodes, and for now I'm planning to keep watching. Very different from anything else out there. From the initial descriptions, I thought it was going to be about the person who played the wife in the dumb sitcom, and how she was having trouble coping with the role she had to play. No, the actual premise is even weirder than that.Anyone have an actual useful thought to contribute?![]()
As for laughing, I really don't think that's what they were going for. As for grabbing your attention, fair enough. It's definitely not for everyone!Doesn't look like my cup of tea. Watching the previews I didn't laugh once nor did it grab my attention. I think I will pass.
This show has been touted as being a Dark Comedy. If it is a comedy (dark or not) why are you not supposed to have a laugh???I've seen the first two episodes, and for now I'm planning to keep watching. Very different from anything else out there. Oh I wasn't aware of how it was touted. I was just going by my impressions from the first couple episodes. My take was the "sitcom" portion was definitely not supposed to be funny. I can see how the "real life" part could be considered a "dark comedy", in the manner of something like Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul. And now that I think about it, there were a few moments when I did chuckle at some turns of events. I'm not sure if any of those were in the previews. I won't get into any specifics, though, in case there's a third person out there somewhere who decides to watchThis show has been touted as being a Dark Comedy. Apologies. Didn't realize he was the original poster. Sorry. He did, he started the thread and gave a decent summary. That was followed by off topic nonsense about the name. I think it's fair to get back on topic.
FYI.Well, I'm still watching and interested to see where they go with this. It could be a dud, but it could have potential. Just in case anyone else actually is watching and wants to comment, can you keep in mind that the episodes available for streaming are a week behind what's been broadcast, and spoiler-tag the newer stuff? Thanks!
Dark comedy generally ends in a smirk rather than a laugh. Haven't you seen the text shortcut: sq? (smirked quietly)This show has been touted as being a Dark Comedy. If it is a comedy (dark or not) why are you not supposed to have a laugh???
Right, I think we're saying the same thing but you described it better. If you have AMC+, be aware that a lot of people don't have access to the latest episode that you saw until a week later. So far based on the traffic here, I don't think that will be an issue, but who knows...FYI.
New episodes are released a week early on the AMC+ streaming service before they air on the AMC broadcast channel. Episode 5, which will air Sunday, July 11th on AMC broadcast channel is available on AMC+ streaming now.
Your spoiler-tag suggestion applies, but more for someone viewing via AMC+ streaming.
I’ve seen a lot of dark comedy that also made me laugh/chuckle, etc.Dark comedy generally ends in a smirk rather than a laugh. Haven't you seen the text shortcut: sq? (smirked quietly)
