King of Miami on Mojo - Impressions?

994 Views 10 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  Dead.Horse
So what does everyone think of this show? It seems to be the first actual comedy program on Mojo, aside from the other 'street reaction' shows like Bet You. I've watched the first two episodes and thought the first was pretty weak but the second was a bit better. Hopefully it improves from here.

I love his 'fat head, slender body' physique.

That guy's annoying. Looks like MOJO will let just about anybody have thier own show these days.
Does InHD/Mojo have anything that anyone actually watches?

They play some good movies from time to time. Mostly old ones. Lately they've been playing McCabe and Mrs. Miller, and in June, it looks like they're going to playing Black Christmas. The original from 1974, not the ****** remake from last year. It's considered the first real slasher flick.

Other than this, and occasional bands I care about on London Live, the content is pretty weak.
Mojo is very hot and cold. Three sheets is a show that the wife and I really enjoy. Zane is a funny dude that just has a fun presence.

The wine show with that fat theater geek slob is horrible. He is not funny and very annoying. King of Miami is kinda lame as well. The thing frustrating about the channel is they cast the wrong people. Wine show could be funny if the host was, so could the king of miami. I don't even want to get into the show with the two ****** bag guys that bet on everything. Reminds me of some of the range rover privileged yahoos that show up at the Del Mar meet every summer spending daddy's money......
I didn't like it. I turned it on, watched for a few secs, then flipped channels.
I watched about 10 minutes of the first show and I don't have any urge to watch it again. It was just uncomfortable. You're expecting something funny to happen, so you've got that half-grin on your face waiting to laugh, but it never comes.

I have the "Tune Up" test patterns saved on my DVR.

I guess I'm now too old for their "target" audience.

I unfortunately caught few minutes of it today. He appeared to me like a Borat/Ali G wannabe.
I agree that the guy isn't too funny most of the time. He's put into situations where he could make a zillion humorous observations, but he doesn't. I'm guessing he's never done much improv.

And two guys betting with other peoples money is pointless and rather dull to watch.
