Klipsch Palladium?

3348 Views 14 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  Easyaspie
Has anyone had any early experience with these speakers. Their website makes it sound like they are out. I have heard very little buzz about them though.

A good friend of mine had a pair of Klipschorns about 10 years ago and I am thinking about bringing the nostalgia back (but better...).

Have any of you heard these speakers in action?

Also does anyone know the official retail price? I have heard they are 16,000 but I am not sure if that was the official RTP. I talked to my local dealer about this line but he has no plans to carry them
because he just picked up Focal.

I'd love to hear something on these! I've been waiting for a while for a review, etc. So far I've found nothing except the website info which is limited.
Here is a frequency response graph off of the Klipsch website. Note that the top graph is just the difference between the right and left speakers, not a true frequency response graph.

If these are not fudged they look very good to say the least.

Not sure what the following statement means, but they make it sound like each pair sold comes with a frequency print out for that specific pair of speakers.

"Every P-39F loudspeaker pair is matched to guarantee proper imaging and ideal stereo tonality. For those with an appreciation of the science behind the sound, we include the specific performance charts for each L/R pair."

Am I reading that right? Bold compared to other speaker brands that use "combination of X material ", "M material" , and "magical synergy". http://www.wilsonaudio.com/product/w...8/innovations/ as ways to describe their technology. Don't get me wrong I am not knocking Wilson Audio by any means, just making a point. To be fair many speaker companies have over stated claims....

It appears that Klipsch will frequency match pairs and provide documentation. If it isn't fudged (who knows) that could be outstanding. The response curves look good, would like to see more.

Yes you're reading that right, kind of comical. I'm not knocking Wilson either.

There's also the Jubilee to consider. It appears to be what many Klipschorn owners are upgrading to (but I'll keep mine for a while longer).
I don't read German...but you can paste the url into the Google translator....

There is a gentleman that lives in the town very close to Nuance and I, he has stated that he is expecting delivery of a set of the Palladiums. He has graciously extended us the invitation when the air clears.....

We will certainly come back here with a report of that audition.....

I have never followed the Klipsch brand, but these speakers look promising...
I know that there is at least one person on the forum at Klipsch.com that has them, so you may be able to get better info over there.
The good thing is that the Palladium is an entire line and not just one model. There will be 3-floor standing models, 1-bookshelf, surrounds, a center channel and subwoofer.

If you go to the Klipsch website in the upper right corner click the forums link and when the next page loads click "pictures" Here you will see a Palladium section with several pages showing the pictures and finishes of all the models. From feedback of the people that have heard them they seem to be quite impressive.
When does this (complete) line hit stores? I've been hearing the PF-39's are available in select locations, but what about the center, surrounds, and sub?
bambam,

The best I can tell is that the U.S. is expected to get the product in July. Other countries have already been shipped the product.

Recently Klipsch had a consumer get together at their headquarters and gave away a pair of the bookshelf model, so hopefully they will be out soon.
I'll tell you what, no matter what they sound like, those are some absolutly beautiful speakers.

I have got to hear a set of those.

I've had three meet-ups (I live in SE Wisconsin) so far, where I've invited people to bring their music (obviously) but also to bring any transports/amps etc. they'd like to try on these speakers.

They sound better than anything I've ever heard, one of the visitors to my aug 9th meetup said he liked them much better than some Wilson speakers (I don't have the specific model #) he had just looked at for $40k.

I have the "Merlot" finish, and yes they sure are pretty
