I do own the Klipsch

FRONTS : RB-61 II Bookshelf Speakers

CENTER : RC-42 II Center Speaker

SURROUNDS : RB-41 II Bookshelf Speakers


was thinking of this subwoofer it'll be a match

Also have Onkyo TX-NR709 Reciever

It's not necessary to brand match your sub with the rest of your speakers, and I would bet most here on AVS do not. In the $400-$500 range I would look at HSU, Epik, etc. over the Klipsch.

yes probally why i am selling my mirage omni 8 here on avs ,its a ok sub ,I can see its going to be hard to sell what i paid 4 it.


looking @ HSU website now, yea thought newegg was a good deal on that sub thanks

I'd go with a ported sub from elemental designs such as the a3-300 ($600 shipped) or the a2-300 ($415 shipped). The hsu vtf-2 would run about $570 shipped which would be a good choice as well.


You could jump up to a 15" sub if you were willing to spend a bit more money.


I wouldn't say you're looking at garbage, just cheap construction and drivers with little power. I wouldn't add one of those subs to a nice klipsch setup as it would be by far the weakest link.

Thanks guys i must be a moron went with klipsch newegg big savings .

its the weekend i am sick ,very sad one day now my sub no power no led totally dead.

now we see if the egg will pay my shipping back

i should listen to more of yous here

live and learn
next weekend might be better
