I'm looking for opinions on the Klipsch RB5 or any of the new copper colored speakers. About 10 years ago I heard some Klipsch speakers (don't remember which ones)and they sounded real shrill. I said I'd never own speakers with horns, however last weekend I heard the RB5, which is a 2-way reflex horned tweeter and 8" mid/bass. They sounded pretty good, however I didn't have any of my CD's with me at the time to really check them out - I was out shopping and just happened to be in the neighborhood, so I stopped in and gave them a little listen. Actually, my kid had his Wild Wild West soundtrack with him (I hate Rap) and I popped that in. One thing I noticed and I'm not sure that it's not supposed to be this way, but when Will Smith is rapping on the first track he's saying "Wild Wild West" over and over, but it's coming out as "Wild Wild Wesss". It also sounds like this on my Infinity SM-112's, which I think sounds bright in the fist place. The S's just scream at you, but only on that track. I don't think I noticed a lot of siblance on other tracks. Anyone notice this? Was it recorded that way?
