391 Views 12 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  collinbii

i am in the process of upgrading by center speaker and fron speakers.

i am considering for the fronts the klipsch rs 52ii and for the center rc 52ii

the other option i am considering for the center the klipsch rc 62ii

which is the most likely best option of the two above?

my system is driven by an onkyo tx-sr876

i am running klipsch s2 as surround speakers and bose 201 rears

For fronts do you mean RF52 towers?

Anyway, I would do the 62 center. If you can swing 62's for both towers and center even better.

Call mike at a science before you purchase though. You may be able to go bigger on your original budget than you expected. He is avsales5 on here
I was thinking of using surrounds for fronts....RS 52ll
I would not do that as you would want direct radiating fronts. You don't want fronts diffused.

That is a horrible idea and will result in bad sound. Get the RB51ii's for the front and use surround specific speakers for surrounds only
not to mention the RS cost quite a bit more than the RB anyway.
Thank you....i am novice.

My system used primarily for movies

Then get Klipsch rb-51ii for front left and right speakers and a RC-52ii for center channel...

Do you have a subwoofer? If so what model number is your subwoofer?
Have 12 inch down firing klipsch sub.
Than the RB51ii's and RC-52ii is all you need.

Make sure you run Audyssey after you get your new speakers
I would try and go bigger if you can. The 5.25' drivers are ok, but you will get more out of some bigger drivers for main stage.

thanks.....i will push and go bigger..
