i'm seriously thinking about buying a plasma screen online, but there too many to online vendors chose from. i'm kinda new to this so i was wondering if there are any online vendors that you guys recommend? horror stories are welcome too. thanks.

You can search the forum for those vendors mentioned by tintinet. You might also be able to figure out some search terms to give you other vendors ("online plasma sale" or something like that.)
