My 02 Sony kp-57hw40 is in need of some help. When I bought it, it was very dirty and had retrace lines so I cleaned it up and adjusted the voltages and it looks great for a while. But after the set is good and hot the screen turns either all green or all blue, flashes a few times with an audible arc and shuts down. I installed a pair of 300 mm or so computer fans in the front fiber board panned and it helped alot but if the room temp is over 70* it will still do the flash and shutdown thing or after extended periods of pushing 1080 into it from the xbox with room temps of 65*. It also flashes the standby led 8 times. I don't have a factory remote so I can't pull up the service menu unless someone knows how to do it with the front panel or a dish network remote.


Ps it never did the flashing and shutdown till after I fixed the retrace lines but that may be coincidence
