Krell To Recall Four Amp Products

Leading audiophile company, Krell, based in Orange, Conecticut, will immediately recall four amlifiers. The amps include the Krell KAV-250a, KAV-250a/3, KAV-500i, KAV-1500


This recall effects units manufactured between January 1997 and February 2001. These amplifiers were designed to operate at temperatures warm to the touch. The models listed above, however, may have incorrect fuse values that could potentially cause the units to overheat.


The recall consists of replacing two rail fuses for each amplifier channel. The fuses and removal/ installation instructions are supplied by Krell. A certificate of fuse replacement must be noted upon successful completion of the task. Once the certificate is returned and received by Krell a $100.00 check will be issued to the owner or person responsible for the fuse replacement.
