Had to switch my season pass from ABCF to ABCFHD. Thought we had ABCFHD for last season - guess not.

I'm so ready for this (and in HD too!)....this was a long time for a cliffhanger.

I forgot how it ended.
Asked this in the other thread but maybe someone here will have the answer- Any chance they'll rerun S1 or S2? I barely remember S1, and they pulled S2 from broadcast TV halfway through so I never got to see the ending (now I have FIOS).
Well, it's kind of late now, but as VisionOn mentioned, ABC Family has been airing the second half of season 2 all day. Season 1 & 2 are available on DVD as well.
I was also disappointed in ABC's decision to stop rerunning the show on the network. I enjoyed watching Season 1 and the first 4 episodes of Season 2 in HD on ABC, and I still don't have ABC Family HD. For that matter, even the second half of Season 2 aired in the middle of the writer's strike last winter, so ABC could have used the time filler even during the winter months then.

So far today I've seen snipes but no massive onscreen bug promotion for Greek or whatever is coming up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they'll keep the HD feed clean during the premiere.
I lost track how many times I complained to ABC Family about their stupidly large CW style promo bugs, or skipped the primetime airing for a middle of the night bug free viewing.

Now I remember.....thanks.
Really glad to have this show back. It was a long hiatus and I forgot how much I enjoy this one. I'm kind of disappointed they decided to only give this season 10 episodes. I really liked how season 2 was 23 episodes shown half during the summer then the other half in January. I think I might even prefer that model to the traditional one. But maybe the short season 3 is just another result of the strike. I suppose we could get lucky with an early season 4.

At any rate, I'm understanding why this show is ending. The last couple of episodes, I've found myself hitting the skip forward buttons over scenes just because the teen angst dynamic has essentially taken over the show.
The only mystery left is what the heck are the writers thinking? For example, the whole "compatability crystal" and "hoverboard" plotlines were incredibly lame and Latnok appears to have transformed into a group of rejects from the local coffee shop who would rather spend their time discussing the merits of hemp. Of course, what can I expect the leader of this evil genius organization would hand out two identical writing samples to two genetically enhance geniuses living in the same house when one of those samples is supposed to be a letter from their mommy.
Then, to top it off, Kyle spends all this time trying to win back Amanda, only to tell her to essentially "shove off" in the name of protecting her.
Grrrrr. I used to really love this show...

^ Couldn't have said it better....and this series started off with such promise. No wonder the ratings are tanking.

Not that anyone much cares anymore, but the Kyle XY Series finale is next week.
I've stuck with it till the bitter end. Despite all of the teen angst they've thrown into it, there still remained a glimmer of what made the episodes in Season 1 memorable.

I'll miss it. I still like (most of) the characters even if the "plot" is pretty much invisible now. I much preferred it when it was Kyle discovering his abilities and blowing the minds of the regular kids. He seems pretty ordinary now by comparison.
Latnok beside having a stupid name is a poor conspiracy replacement. The writers may have done the audience a favor by tying up Kyle's origin story in the first season in case of cancellation, but that left them with some big holes to fill ever since. Foss wandering off to be a regular on Men in Trees screwed his appearances as Kyle's Mr Miyagi too.

Apparently so. I was rather hoping that the producers/writers had been given enough advance warning that they would be able to tweak the final episode to serve as a satisfying series finale.
