Hi, my laptop has the standard VGA output. On my 32" Olevia the TV has a vga plug. So, I got a VGA to VGA cable and it looks great. Now, my dad has a more expensive Phillips 40". It only has HDMI and component Y / Pb / Pr. Will a cable like this:

work for connecting my laptop to the phillips? Will the quality be the same as the VGA to VGA? I would use hdmi, but I don't have a computer that can output it.
It is weird the olevia is a budget lcd and it has the VGA while the phillips doesn't.
