Are my new Speakers Large or Small.
the 4 main speakers are 40Hz-20kHz.

Bass is - Frequency Response:
20 Hz -200 Hz ±3dB
Low-pass Crossover:
40Hz-150Hz (continuously variable).

Center is- 50Hz-20kHz (±3dB)

Thanks Jack

If you intend to have one or more subwoofers in your home theater system to handle the low frequency bass and the .1 LFE channel, the AVR should be set as speakers SMALL.

What speakers do you have?

The terminology used is confusing and always has been. Instead of "Large" it should be "Bass Management OFF" and instead of "Small", "Bass Management On". Some guys get insulted when their AVR tells them that their speakers are "Small". ;)

As snpanago said, if you intend to use a sub or subs, your speakers should be set to "Small".
