I can buy a Onkyo 875 for a good price, but I am not sure if I should get that or a new version 706...I have read taht several people have issues with the 806; or is that just people complaining. I looked into the 805 but it is out of my price range.

I am upgrading my receiver for the first time in 11 years.

I have Boston acoustics front center and surround sound speakers and a BIC 12" sub.

Hooking it up to a Sony Blu-Ray.

Want to get a good speaker but I have a budget limit.

Any help is appreciated.

The 875 is still 200-300$ more than the 706, but it is a better AVR imo, it has the Reon scaler which is very nice.

Thank you for the feedback. I can get a 875 for about $650 from a website. IT is the only way I can afford a receiver of that level.
