Halting production is pretty much end of the line. The only further

confirmation you can get short of an official cancellation is when you

see the actors sign contracts for other shows.

Dang. I was liking this show.

Anyway, futoncritic says "it's gone" - production has wrapped, with one episode left unaired. 8 finished.

I have a feeling LAX may be next. It's barely tolerable now (even played back from an HD recording which makes Heather look even older BTW). There's already no apparent direction for the show and no continuity between episodes. Hawaii I watched first 15 minutes of pilot show and deleted the recurring channel permanently - surprised it lasted as long as it did. Perhaps NBC is heading down the path ABC took for a while. It's good to see ABC taking some chances with new shows - I'm liking Lost a lot and even Desperate Housewives seems to be catching on.

I really liked Hawaii and am sad to see it go. LAX is alright, but the time slot they are moving to isn't any better than Monday night. I am still going to watch Smallville at 8PM. Maybe they can move it to Tuesday at 9pm so it fits between NCIS and NYPD Blue.

I was starting to like Hawaii as well. The first few episodes were kinda bad, but once I knew what to expect, I had some fun with it.

Speaking of Lost and Desperate Housewives, they were both just picked up for the full season. Good news, however, the have been shows picked up for a full season, but dropped after 16 or 17 episodes.

I follow over 30+ hours of shows a week with 3 replays and a HD DVR and I find it funny that you mention Lost and Desparate Housewives because they are two shows that I have no interest in this year.

LAX needs some time to break in. I think it'll do fine after a little feedback.

If you look at the history of of shows that brought in Heather as a guest star, she's always brought the ratings back up.

bobkunkle, you're missing out on two of the better shows this season. It could be that I'm just tired of cop dramas and crap reality shows, but these two are surprisingly fresh and entertaining. I'm not sure how they'll do in the long run, but for now you should check them out.

My wife and I stopped watching Hawaii once we saw the pilot for Lost. I tried to watch the pilot for LAX, but it just didn't draw me in at all.

Probably prior to her looking a little ragged around the edges, as she is now.

That's too bad about LAX. I thought it was decent. However, it falls off the schedule now since Replay A gets Smallville at 8PM Weds and Replay B gets Lost at the same time.

If my wife looks like that at 42, I'll be hella happy.

Is it moving down to the 8pm slot? It use to be at 9pm. That will suck if its on at the same time as Lost.

Yes, it's taking the place of "Hawaii", as clearly stated in the first post in this thread.

Has there been any word of when Hawaii will return? IIRC I read at this very forum that they still had a few more episodes made and that they'd be shown and end sometime in December. I really liked this show and would like to see any and all remaining episodes. As for Laxative, well I watched the first three episodes and it's a wonder I got that far. That show is way too unrealistic and I can't say I care for Heather or Blair at all.
