I've done a search and could only find info on plasmas, and my question is: can an lcd monitor/tv be mounted on a ceiling without any problems? I know it will decrease the lifespan of plasma to mount on ceilings, but do lcd panels have the same characteristics? The monitor in question is a sampo 15"(LME-15S1).

I gotta ask - is this sorta to replace mirrors on the ceiling in the bedroom?

No, but I think that is a good idea though. It's for a dentist office to have above the patient to watch to take their mind off the dreaded drill.

We have had very small LCDs mounted on the ceilings of the operatories in our office for a little over a year now. It seems that the display is holding up very well. Patients also seem to like it - although most of our patients are under 10 years old. The truth of the matter is that most of our patients would rather watch what we are doing through a mirror than watch the movies we have for playing them.
