LCD screen in a conservatory

655 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  localnet
I currently have a CRT TV in my conservatory but I am thinking of replacing it with a LCD panel.

The conservatory is in the sun all day and does get pretty hot. Will this high temperature damage the LCD panel ?

Thanks

My LCD manual says 104F max operating temp and 113F max storage temp.
I had an LCD, a Samsung 27" hanging in my truck for 3 years. It took a beating traveling the country, including extreme temps of the Southwest desert, ie., Phoenix AZ, along with extreme cold, ie., Michigan winters. It was still functioning like new when I sold the truck, even though the back of the cabinet was really cracked and held together with a 10" x 10" piece of 3M two sided automotive tape.

I would say an LCD would survive your conservatory.
