I have a 70" Sony KDFXBR950.

I find when watching sporting events and there is fast motion on the screen, it looks like the picture is swimming, kind of like the pixels are trying to catch up to the image.

Is this normal? Is there anything that can be done to minimize this?

Anyone?

I would appreciate any information that can be provided.

Im curious to know whether or not this is a tv related problem or not?

What I am referring to may in fact be pixelation, however I am not sure as to the right term to describe what I am seeing.

Fast motion was almost always a problem on older LCD panels because the response times were inadequate to keep up.

New 120Hz LCD displays with 4ms response times are supposed to address / eliminate the issue. You can read more about these on the LCD forum.
