I wanted to buy an LCD w/Mla front projector to connect to my HTPC, but some vendors suggest me not to do, because, in their opinion, the lcd panel toast after 1-2 year, and then you can see a lot of burned pixels. All of them told me that DLP is much more strong and I has longer life.

Is it true ?

Personal experience ?

Thanks

This is true to some extent but the syntax and range is questionable here. LCD panels for the most part just simply do not become unusable after 2 years. Stuck pixels happen with lcd panels but if they aren't blue you can hardly even see them and they are not an issue. There are plenty of users out there with lcd's that don't even have stuck pixels. That being said I do believe for the most part dlp's do have a leg up on lcd's when it comes to stuck pixels. It can happen with dlp's but it is not nearly as often as with lcd.
